Bridesmaids!!

I am thrilled to announce that I have selected my Bridesmaids! I am honored to have these 6 beautiful women celebrate my Big Day with me!! Thanks ladies!!

My sister, Charlotte Brown, will be my Matron of Honor!

Drew's sister, Abby Haymaker, set us up!! Here we are playing with her son's (Jaren) toys. Jaren is so excited to be our ring bearer!

Meredith Walck Wolfe has been one of my favorites since we were introduced and became roommates in 2005.

Kelly Ryan and I met at Mustang Corral in 2000. We lived together our Sophomore year and have been amazing friends ever since!!

Amelia Bardwell and I were introduced through Chase Key... incidentally enough she met her husband through me!!

Nikki Smith and I met in 2007 and lived together in 2009. I'm so lucky to have her as a friend!

This one is for Elaine

The last few months have kept me busy, but it is definitely time to start wedding planning!! Drew & I set our wedding date for 9-10-11 in Oklahoma City at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The reception will be held at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. We booked the band and registered at B.C. Clark, Williams Sonoma and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Drew was home from Ohio for 12 days and we were able to spend Christmas Eve & Christmas with both of our families, go to the Armed Forces Bowl (SMU played Army), spend New Year's Eve together, AND do a little bit of wedding planning. It was crazy busy, but wonderful to have so much time to be together.

Here is a picture of Drew & me.

Here we are on New Year's Eve dinner...

I SAID YES!!

The story...

On November 20, 2010 Drew took me to Red Rock Canyon for "date night." Halfway through dinner he said, "let's go on a walk after dinner." At that point I knew what was coming. I stopped eating and almost yelled at Drew to hurry up and finish his food. I also claimed that I was too full for dessert so we could cancel the Roor Beer Floats. That's when Drew knew that I knew what was coming... We walked out to the lighthouse and he grabbed my shoulders and squared me to him and the rest went like this...

Drew- You know I love you right?

Natalie- Yes and I love you too.

Drew- I want to show you something

Drew kneels on one knee while pulling a box out of his pocket

Drew- Will you marry me?

Natalie- YES!!!

Drew puts the ring on my finger

Natalie- (gasp!) It's so big!

Then there was some crying and laughing and a little bit of k-i-s-s-i-n-g!! We sat down on a park bench and Drew told me about his conversation with my parents. I kept telling him how happy I was & and I kept crying. He informed me that I couldn't call anyone because there was another surprise. We got in the car and he took me to my parent's house. Waiting at the house was my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, Drew's mom, dad, sister, brother, sister-in-law, and 8 month old nephew. Drew also invited my friends Mike, Meredith, David and one of his friends, Braden. We toasted our engagement and enjoyed hearing everyone's perspective on our engagement story (everyone in town seemed to know that we were getting engaged that night). More to come...
